Since its foundation in 1912, this medium-sized family-run company from Schalksmühle in the German Sauerland has established itself as a specialist in switches and systems. brecht Jung, the company founder, along with Michael Eyrich-Ravens and Martin Herms. JUNG has become an international force to be reckoned with in the industry with 1,200 employees, its own subsidiaries and representation in numerous agencies. The company produces consistently high quality products, which customers rely on throughout the world, at its locations in Schalksmühle and Lünen. JUNG has received the certified "Made in Germany" proof of origin from TÜV NORD for this. Its Insta subsidiary is an electronics technology centre that develops and produces devices and systems for building systems technology in nearby Lüdenscheid. The JUNG portfolio extends from traditional electrical installations and retrofitting by radio right through to networked high-end technology for smart homes. The design aspirations and innovative spirit of the company have been awarded many accolades. The JUNG video and audio indoor stations have most recently received the ICONIC AWARD for Interior Innovation 2016, the flush-mounted LS ZERO switch range has been awarded the Innovation prize for Architecture + Technology 2016 and the classic LS 990 switch – in various different versions – has received the German Design Award 2016. JUNG was also honoured as the Specialist Trade Brand for 2016 – a special distinction of the Plus X Awards.

Looking for color harmony for your home? Then let yourself be inspired: The former Hidden Tints office building was already characterised by green, pink and various yellow tones in the 19th century. In the course of a renovation and conversion as an apartment, the rooms were supplemented with additional colours without affecting the original colour scale.
As a contrast to the light colours: our design classic LS 990 in Aluminium Dark.

Architectural tip: Hofmann House - the superlative villa

Fran Silvestre Arquitectos has finished a villa on 350 m² in Valencia with wide sea views. The house is defined by its floating roof over a stone pedestal, which protects both from the summer sun and from curious views. The ground floor of the house is completely covered with glass, which almost eliminates the distinction between inside and outside. This is further enhanced by the use of white marble, which is installed both in the living rooms and on the pool terrace in front of the house. Our JUNG design classic LS 990 has been installed to match this unusual design of the house.

Hotel tip: Six Senses Duxton, Singapore

You're looking for a hotel with that certain something? The boutique hotel Six Senses Duxton in Singapore was awarded by the Urban Redevelopment Authority Architectural Heritage. Strong colours such as black, gold and yellow as well as oriental, Malaysian and Portuguese elements give the hotel a special character. Each of the 49 rooms has been individually furnished. Architectural tip: Löyly Sauna, Helsinki

Do you feel like "sustainable" relaxation? A sauna of a special kind was built on the Helsinki coast. Sustainability is a top priority here: the rectangular building structure protects against the harsh coastal climate, shades the interiors and reduces energy consumption for cooling the building. The sauna heaters are low in pollutants, the glass walls are energy-efficient and the entire complex uses green electricity. Our JUNG design class LS 990 was installed in Dark to match the overall appearance of the sauna.

Architectural tip: BLOX, Copenhagen

With the Blox, Copenhagen has gained a new urban meeting place for work, culture and leisure. With its mix of architecture and design centre, workplaces, apartments, restaurants and underground car park, the futuristic building will make the harbour district even more lively. It is located directly on the shore of Copenhagen's city island Slotsholmen and connected to the city centre. Blox's architecture is unusual: a stack of rectangular glass cubes piled up inside a steel skeleton construction around an atrium and offset over an expressway. The new building is equipped with the JUNG design classic LS 990 in stainless steel.

What is duroplast? - A lightfast material.

Again and again you read that our products are made of thermoset. But what is that and why does JUNG use it? Duroplast is a granulate which we use to manufacture various switch ranges. A special advantage is the light fastness. Even years of exposure to sunlight do not change the colour of the switch. It is also characterized by high strength, surface hardness and temperature resistance. It is also scratch-resistant and halogen-free.
