Anyone who's lived with a cheap sliding door knows the sound: the drag, the stick, the shove to get it going. It’s not how glass systems should work.

A heavy folding wall is only as good as what carries it. Get the hardware wrong and within a year it sticks, drags and needs both hands and a shove. That's the door people regret.

Ours runs on German-grade bearings and self-levelling wheels, so a full heavy span glides with one finger and stops where you leave it. The self-levelling wheels keep it aligned as the building settles, so the movement you feel on day one is the movement you feel in year five.

And for quick daily use, a single traffic leaf opens on its own without unfolding the whole wall in and out to the garden without moving the entire door.

Investors: a studio that lives like a one-bed shows better and rents higher. Here's how you get there without building a wall.

A studio is one open space with no way to separate the bed from the living area or give a guest a room of their own. A built wall would fix it but kill the openness and the light permanently.

Our internal sliding partition does it without the commitment. Closed, it splits the studio into 2 proper rooms. Open, it slides away and hands the studio back. The acoustic seal means it divides by sound as well as sight, so a call or a sleeping guest is actually separated, not just screened. Pair it with smart glass and it goes fully private at a tap.

Two ways to spend a cool UAE evening: doors open and bitten, or doors shut and stuffy. There's a third.

This is the trade-off with outdoor evenings here. The good nights are the ones you want the doors open for and they're exactly when the insects come in. So most people give up and keep the glass shut.

Our concealed insect screen integrates into the bifold and pulls across when you want it, then rolls away out of sight when you don't. During the day it's hidden with nothing on the opening to break the clean line. At night you draw it across and the whole wall stays open to the air with nothing getting in.

1The most common worry about bifold doors: if the whole wall folds open, what stops it leaking when it's shut?

A bifold has more joints than a fixed window, so the concern is real: more places for noise, air and water to get in. Here's what closes those gaps in ours:
• An industry-first 10-layer automotive-grade rubber compression seal — the same kind of seal that keeps a car door quiet — presses tight along every joint when the doors lock, so noise, air and water stay out.
• An 84mm ultra-narrow thermal insulation strip runs through the frame and breaks the path heat uses to cross the aluminium, holding the inside near room temperature through a UAE summer.
• A flush drainage track carries water out below floor level and separates it from sand, so nothing pools at the threshold.

Shut, it's quieter, tighter and cooler than most fixed windows. Open, it's the whole wall gone.

A single patio door gives you a doorway to the garden. A bifold gives you the whole wall.

Most villas here keep the terrace and the living room as two separate places: a fixed glass wall with one patio door cut into it. You get a view and a door, but the two spaces never actually become one.

Our bifold doors fold the entire wall to the side. The full opening clears and with the corner-post-free option, even the corner where 2 walls meet opens up with nothing standing in the middle.

So the living room and the garden become a single space when you want them together, and close back into a sealed, cooled room when the heat returns.

It comes 2 ways in our new range: a bifold that folds fully to one side, or a folding sliding door that glides across. Both are built for UAE villas and terraces.
