central to the project’s material identity is the tectonic expression of the service counter, where the weight of local heritage meets the delicacy of artisanal storytelling. clad in a gradient of indigenous tuf stones, the counter serves as a sculptural frieze that transcends its functional purpose. a custom-carved bas-relief is integrated into the stone’s surface, documenting the systemic journey of the “honey cake”, a symbolic sequence that maps the transition from the golden wheat harvests of the armenian landscape to the intricate labor of the apiary. by embedding this narrative directly into the masonry, the design transforms a signature pastry into a permanent, tactile element of the built environment.
