Dear Shots/on\Stone friends - I was recently notified by a good samaritan that unfortunately one of the stones I sold in my pre-launch phase fell when the hanger holding the tile slipped. For these stones, I used a superglue designed for stone/metal to hold the hangers in place and tested hanging the stones on the wall before selling them. However, unfortunately it is sometimes difficult to foresee issues such as this that may only manifest themselves after some time.
I am of course very conscious to ensure I am providing a quality product and, whilst I really hope that this is only an isolated incident, feel it’s my duty to be honest about this in case it could potentially happen with any other Shots/on\Stones. So, if you have bought a tile previously, I would really appreciate it if you could take a look at the hanger on the back and apply some force to it to check that the superglue attaching the hanger is holding strongly. If you think there may be a problem, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me at [email protected] and I will happily provide you with another hanging option for your stone(s) free of charge.
For any Kickstarter campaign backers, please rest assured that I was already planning on using a different type of hanger for the future (shown and outlined in this Kickstarter update http://kck.st/2atEq5J) and will now be testing these hangers even more intensively before I ship out any of the rewards. Also, if you happen to have any ideas/suggestions for other ways in which I can attach the hangers which are fail-safe, I would love to hear from you.
Many thanks for your understanding and continued support!
Tom
