Liz Muir Impressionist artist living and working in Avalon on large scale oil on canvas inspired by local natural beauty.

Painting is a lengthy process with ongoing works drying and new works going through drawing up, initial layers, final marks and the all important varnishes that protects and adds a subtle sheen. Taking photos of my work enables me to see at a glance what is needed to complete the image putting me in the position of a viewer where i can critique the final touches.
