About the role:
First Nations Temp Fence PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Fencer to join our team in the Western Suburbs of VIC. This full-time role is responsible for constructing all fencing types with a specialty in Chain Wire Mesh fence and Temporary fencing. As a Fencer, you will play a crucial part in ensuring safe and secure homes and worksites for our clients.
What you'll be doing:
- Erecting, adjusting, and dismantling a variety of fencing products, including chain wire mesh, hoarding fences, timber and colorbond fencing as well as Temporary Fencing.
- Ensuring fences are installed to specification, are structurally sound, and meet all relevant safety standards
- Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on existing fencing as required
- Collaborating with the wider team to address any fencing-related issues on job sites
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Fencer or in a similar construction/trades role
- Strong practical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Certification in relevant areas such as White Card for our Corporate jobs
