If any ones hears or sees anyone advertising an electrofusion welder and or a near new Milwaukee cordless air compressor please let me know.

We had some uninvited visitors drop in on Friday morning and thought that they needed these items more than us.

The welder in a unique piece of equipment and the scum probably have no idea what it even is.

We as licensed plumbers often see people advertising as qualified plumbers.
But do you know the difference ?
There is no such thing as a qualified plumber
There are only LICENSED PLUMBERS and REGISTERED PLUMBERS.
To be licenced plumbers and issue compliance certificates we pay large public liability insurance policies to ensure you as the customer are protected.

Accreditation Types - What's the difference?

Licence
A VBA Licence entitles the holder to legally carry out all work in a particular class or type of plumbing work, to supervise others undertaking that work, and to issue a compliance certificate for that work.

Registration
A VBA Registration entitles the holder to carry out all work in a particular class or type of plumbing work. If that work requires a compliance certificate, it must only be carried out under the supervison of the licensed practitioner who will issue the compliance certificate for the work. A compliance certificate is required for all substantive plumbing work.

When a compliance certificate is required
A compliance certificate must be issued in the following circumstances:
where the total value of work (including materials, appliances, labour and GST) exceeds $750
Note: The cost of materials and appliances must be included, regardless of whether they were supplied by another person.
for the following types of plumbing work, regardless of the total value of the work:
the installation, relocation or replacement of any Type A gas-using appliances, regardless of the cost

Before you engage a plumber you can do a quick search on the VBA website to see if they are licensed or registered is the class of work you need.
If they can’t supply a certificate of compliance it is highly possible that they are not licensed and have no insurance.

Applicants will need be physically fit, reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
The position will involve manual labour and working at heights.
Able to work as part of a team
Drivers licence preferred but not essential

Registered Plumber
Applicants will need to be
Physically fit

Punctual
Have the ability to teach and lead apprentices
Hold a current Manual Drivers licence
Able to work in a team environment

Excavator and Pozi Track ( Bobcat ) Operator
Applicants will need at a minimum
Excavator and skid steer license
Medium or above truck licence
Experience in various size excavators and bobcats
Ability to dig straight and at grade
Able to work solo and in a team environment

Storeperson / Administration
Position involves
Receiving and dispatch of stock for jobs
Picking materials for jobs
Scheduling of jobs
Cleaning and maintaining specialised tools and equipment
