We teamed up with the guys at John McClean Electrical to get this job done before the next rain hits for a repeat client! đź’Ş
Over 300 metres of trenching completed, running power to the new shed pad, electric gates, and lighting all fed from the property’s main power pit.
It was a solid couple of big days, but we knocked it over and got it all in the ground just in time.

Our team recently partnered with ALS Civil on a new build property to deliver practical earthworks solutions across the site.

Works included improving an existing dam by excavating and keying in a new enlarged bank to increase water catchment capacity from the surrounding property contours. The additional material excavated from the dam expansion was then loaded out and utilised to backfill around newly installed tilt panels onsite.

A great outcome all round, increasing the dam capacity while efficiently reusing material to support other areas of the project.

Most builders will only cut and level the house footprint plus a metre or two around it.
We went much further and the difference is huge:
âś… Cut and levelled the block right to the front property line
âś… Prepared a full 20m x 15m shed footprint ready for installation while the house is being built
âś… Built up and compacted side access so the shed can be easily accessed during construction

Why do we strongly recommend doing a bigger site cut before your build starts?

Last week I got the privilege to test run the new 140 Cat grader!
Impressive machine with a lot of thought gone into improvements for not only operator but servicing, and pre start ease.
Mastless system, makes for ease with dense areas and batters. On top of that geo fence pre set to block the ability to hit your stairs and tyres, they have even thought about those windy days and hinged the doors so you have to push past midway to close, no smashed windows!

Last week, following some much-needed rain, our team mobilised to complete a rural drainage and contouring project for a local client.

After recently constructing a new farm shed, the client experienced significant runoff impacting the area due to existing site contours. Using our Cat 12M grader paired with Trimble GPS technology, we were able to deliver an efficient and precise solution.

Our scope included:

🚧 Re-contouring the site and constructing trafficable drains to redirect runoff into the existing dam catchment

🚧 Shaping the shed hardstand with a consistent 2% fall, directing water into a dedicated drainage line

🚧 Rebuilding and trimming access tracks to improve usability and guide water flow to the catchment dam

🚧 Installing a series of cutoff drains across the property, working with natural contours to maximise water capture into paddock dams

The result is a far more functional, all-weather site with improved water management and long-term usability.

A great outcome and a highly satisfied client who wasn’t too keen to drive the tractor over the finished surface!

Today our team completed another crossover for a new property build to council specs!

Our team slotted in this rural crossover between other projects.
6m wide access for all types of vehicle/plant access, roadbase installed as a solid sub base. We will be back to put a layer of recycled asphalt over to complete this entrance transformation.

Something a little different to what we’ve been doing lately.
We had a client with an exciting new house build, the house had been cut into the existing slope leaving not much room for a useable backyard! On top of this the site had only been excavated to just past the house footprint.
Stage 1 was to excavate and remove excess material, creating a more user friendly backyard and opening up the area.
Stay tuned for the next stage of installing retaining walls to finish before the lawn and some more concrete works.

We got the call: a steep, rock-seamed driveway with serious washouts from years of water rushing down the centre and eroding the low spots.
The client needed it neat, accessible for any vehicle, and budget-friendly before hitting the market.

• Pulled material from the high outside edges and crowned the centre to lift and redirect water flow.
