👩‍🌾 Want to get more out of your raised garden beds? Join me for a practical, two-part workshop covering everything from building healthy soil to growing a thriving, productive kitchen garden!

🪴 PART 1: Raised Beds – Soil, Set-Up & Watering
We’ll explore soil mixes, the benefits of raised beds, irrigation options and water-efficient wicking beds.

🍅 PART 2: Intensive Planting Demo
Watch as we plant out a raised bed using space-saving techniques, companion planting, vertical supports and flowers that attract pollinators and beneficial insects. 🐝🦋

Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to improve your existing veggie garden, you’ll leave with plenty of practical tips and ideas to put into action at home!

🌱 New offering! Mixed bunch of gorgeous herbs for $2! Don’t pay grocery store prices for old, sweaty herbs. 🤢 Get them freshly picked Thursdays at Nowra Community Food Store! The smell is heavenly 🤤 Lots of other organic, freshly harvested veg too. 9:30am-3:00pm M-F. 10/158 Princes Highway, South Nowra.

🚗 A friendly parking reminder: Please do not block neighbours’ driveways and follow posted signage if present. With the recent rain, we also ask that you take extra care when parking on grassy verges to minimise damage.

SUNDAY: *Two for One Plant Sale! Come down and grab a bargain, and save us packing up plants at the end of a very long 4 day weekend. Garden 2, 46 Clarence St - if you arrive by 10.15 you can catch the Bird Garden Walk and Talk, which EVERYONE has been raving about. Please come and support our Club!

* Please note that hippeastrums, clivias, and daylilies are excluded, along with one other table, but 70% of the plants are available at a two-for-one deal!

ALSO: We have pots of sprouting, mystery dahlias. If you are going along to the dahlia talk at the Homestead, be sure to grab some bulbs before they sell out!

It’s that time again! The annual Berry Gardens Festival is in a few short days. 7 private gardens in Berry, NSW, open their gates to visitors (a few with wonderful veggie gardens). With refreshments, garden ware vendors, plant sales, and workshops, there’s plenty to inspire you. A great outing for the whole family! All proceeds are donated to local charities, so there’s no reason not to support! I’ll be wandering around all the gardens all 4 days so come and say hi!
