BULLS FERRET RACING
Forget Running of the Bulls, as we are excited to be hosting the race that truly stops Birchip with Whitey’s Ferret Racing coming to the Bull Pen this Saturday night for our first home game!
5 races will be run over the night with the winner of each securing themselves a place in the final race - ‘The Cup’. Ferret racing nights are spoken about years after as the best social event of a sporting clubs calendar - so you do no want to miss this one. This is an all ages event, so the whole family can come!

FERRET NAMING
There will be 25 racers turn up to George Cartwright Oval and they need names! The naming rights for each ferret is up for grabs and you have the chance to be a part of ferret racing history.
$50 cost for the right to name the ferret and if the ferret you named wins the final race, ‘The Cup’, you will win $300 return. Get a group together or go on your own and be creative with your names, we would love to see anything Bulls related.
To name the ferret, fill in this google form and transfer to BWFC account by Wednesday night.

RACE SPONSORSHIP
Not only can you name a ferret, you can also sponsor a whole race! Each of the six races are available for naming rights — a great chance to get your name (or your business) right in the middle of the excitement!

• The Cup sponsor: $300
It’s a great way to support the club and get a shoutout on the night.

Ferret names, lanes and race sponsors will be announced at Thursday night dinner after training. Ferret auctioning will occur on the night and further details about evening to be announced later this week.

Inspired by the remarkable 1948 Melbourne Cup win of 15 year old jockey Ray “the boy from Birchip” Neville and his horse Rimfire. An underdog victory that made history in one of the closest finishes ever.

Back at the Birchip Leisure Centre for a lighting upgrade 💡

The old lights had done their time — swapped out for something brighter and more efficient, and the difference speaks for itself 👌
