Our hot water heaters have been on overdrive with such a wet, cold winter and like your car, your heater has parts that require serving and replacing.
If you have a storage tank, the sacrificial anode corrodes over time to protect your heater casing. Below is a photo of an anode and one that we removed from a heater that needed replacing.
If you service your heater regularly, your heater should last you 10+years.

If serviced regularly, your hot water system should last 10+ years. When it does need replacing, make sure that the pipes and valves are also replaced. This ensures that you are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, not all plumbers include this but they are mandatory in all Rose Bay Plumbings hot water installs.

As we offer a 24 Hour emergency service, we know that one of the main emergency calls to us is due to burst flexi hoses.

They live under your sinks and behind your toilets and they rust, corrode and cause flooding and headache when they burst.

Like your smoke detectors, they should be checked annually. If you haven't had yours checked in the last 12 months call us!

This root ball was clogging the drainage to the street and stormwater was backing up and flooding our customer's property.
Sydney's stormwater drainage has been through a lot this year with heavy March and July rains, if you think that you may have sand, debris or tree root issues, please call us for a camera inspection.
