It’s nearly April, and we realised we never properly introduced ourselves!
🔎 Sherlock Ohms Tech and Electrical
Sherlock Ohms was founded out of a love for solving problems and understanding how things work.
From an early age, our Chief Detective Matt was involved in sound, theatre and technology — developing a curiosity for how systems function and how problems can be solved. After becoming a qualified electrician and spending several years in the entertainment industry, he saw a chance to combine a unique mix of skills: electrical, technology, networking and A/V.
The name Sherlock Ohms reflects how we approach our work. Good troubleshooting always starts with investigation — and in electrical work, Ohms (resistance) is one of the key measurements used when tracking down faults.
Based in the Lake Macquarie / Newcastle region, we work with homes, businesses, churches and venues across the east coast of NSW.
We regularly help with:

🔌 Equipment failures (outlets, switches, lights, fans)
🌐 Data cabling and network infrastructure
🏗 Renovations and electrical upgrades
🎛 Audio-visual and technology integration
As an owner-operator, Matt is directly involved in every job — from understanding the problem to making sure the solution is right. What we enjoy most is figuring out what a client actually needs and creating the right outcome, especially when the job involves tricky spaces or technical challenges.
