Morning all. I’m hoping everyone is staying dry and safe today.
With the current flood situation I thought I’d post some advice regarding power if you have been affected by water.
Energex policy requires an inspection prior to power being reinstated to individual houses if the power has been off for more than 24 hrs. Obviously there are situations where they may not require this.
If the area you are in has been isolated from the grid they will remove the primary fuse to the property if it has been affected by water.
Once they deem the area safe they will reinstate power to the grid only.
An electrical inspection will be required before the electrician can reinstate power to the property.
