Celebrating Harmony Day Together
On Friday, we came together to celebrate Harmony Day, recognising and embracing the cultural diversity that makes our workplace so special.
With over 130 employees across our office and factory, our organisation is made up of people from many cultures across Oceania, Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America.
We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than the universal language that is food!
Our team members' diversity was on full display as we shared a variety of savoury and sweet dishes from their cultural backgrounds, enjoyed together over a lovely morning tea.
Some traditional dishes we enjoyed were:
--> Mumu (chicken & root vegetables) from Papua New Guinea
--> Pulao (chicken rice) & Raita (yoghurt side) from India
--> Keke pua’a (pork buns) & Panikeke (pancakes) from Samoa
--> Afghan (chocolate biscuits) from New Zealand
--> Pudim de ovos (crème caramel) from Portugal
It was a great opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the different experiences, traditions, and stories that shape who we are as a team.
Harmony Day is about inclusion, respect, and belonging, and Friday was a wonderful reminder of the strength and richness our diversity brings to our everyday work environment.
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the morning such a meaningful and enjoyable celebration.
