Another DYI job from an owner at a real estate job. Exposed live wires at the light fixture which is permanently on with the light switch turned off. Turning the switch on shorts the entire lighting circuit. Very ordinary.

A before and after of a switchboard upgrade. Water had been getting into this ancient switchboard causing the power to trip. We installed a new enclosure and brought everything up to current code requirements.

Plugging appliances like dryers, kettles or toasters into double adapters is never a good idea. This one had started to melt due to the heavy load and could of started a fire. Always plug them into the power point directly.
