TMF is growing!

We're looking for a Trade Assistant to join our team at the Port of Brisbane, starting in October.

This is a full-time, ongoing position working alongside our TMF crew on one of our long-term contracts.

You don't need to be trade qualified or have years of experience. We're looking for someone who turns up, works hard, is willing to learn and is a good person to have around the crew.

There's also plenty of opportunity to learn new skills and grow with the business as TMF continues to expand.

Ever wondered what's actually holding a staircase up?

These are stair stringers, the angled steel beams cut and notched to carry every tread and riser. The treads and handrails come later, but this is what does the real work underneath.

Raw and unglamorous, but it's the part that has to be right.

Not everything we build is structural. This one's a custom steel door for a pizza oven, cut and finished to the exact plate spec to fit the arch.

Built in with a temperature gauge so the heat can be tracked while it's cooking.

If it can be built in steel, we'll build it.

New access stairs, railings and fencing for the grandstand at Mullumbimby hockey and cricket grounds.

Every measurement was taken on site, then the structure was built to spec back at our Sumner workshop. From there it was a 3-day install to bring it all to life.

A lot of the work we do comes from project managers and site supervisors who need a reliable welding team on short notice. People who show up, know what they're doing and don't need hand-holding on site.
