At Kingston Building, we are proud to support the communities in which we live and work.

We’re pleased to have donated over 100 meals to Soul Hub and, over the past 12 months, our team has volunteered various times assisting with the breakfast service provided to their guests. We are continually inspired by Soul Hub’s commitment to helping our community.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to visit Soul Hub, where we were warmly welcomed by the staff and invited to attend their morning meeting. It was a privilege to hear firsthand about the important work they do, the challenges faced by those they support, and the positive impact their dedicated team has on our community every day.
While our contribution is only a small part of the incredible work being done, we hope it helps support Soul Hub’s ongoing mission.

We thank the entire Soul Hub team for their hospitality, dedication, and the invaluable service they provide.

Kingston Building is proud to be representing Newcastle, the Central Coast, and the Hunter Region at the 2026 HIA Australian Housing Awards next month, following our Dora Street Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Group Home being named the Hunter’s Specialised Housing Project of the Year for 2025.

The Dora Street SDA Group Home is a purpose-built High Physical Support (HPS) accommodation development. The project comprises five self-contained, one-bedroom villas, along with a dedicated carer’s suite, providing long-term, fully accessible housing for people living with significant physical disabilities. Each villa has been designed and constructed to meet the highest NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) standards, ensuring safety, accessibility, and independence for residents.

We look forward to showcasing this project on the national stage and remain proud to deliver high-quality accommodation that meets the needs of people living with disabilities.

Kingston Building has partnered with to successfully deliver works at , creating a new Student Hub in their heritage listed building.

The Student Hub has been thoughtfully designed to be both functional and welcoming, supporting focus, collaboration, and learning whilst incorporating heritage colours to reflect the building’s history. The space was fast-tracked for early completion and handover, ensuring it was ready for student use as soon as possible. San Clemente High School Principal, Emma South, has expressed her delight with the completed space, noting how fortunate students are to have access to such a high-quality learning environment.

This project also includes the renovation of the school’s science laboratories, with works progressing and scheduled for completion in the weeks to come.

Kingston Building looks forward to continuing our work at San Clemente Catholic College and hopes students and staff enjoy the new Student Hub for years to come!

Kingston Building is proud to be delivering remediation works at Cessnock High School following significant storm damage to the school hall and gym.

The scope of works includes the replacement of internal timber ceiling linings and flooring throughout the entire hall, including the basketball court, as well as remediation works to the performance stage ceiling and floor. Western Red Cedar has been selected for the new ceiling, paired with Spotted Gum flooring for the sprung basketball court — combining durability, performance, and warmth within this multi-use sporting and performance space.

Ceiling works have now been successfully completed, following the installation of more than 90 tonnes of aluminium scaffolding to provide a safe and effective working platform for the ceiling replacement. The project has now progressed to the removal and replacement of the basketball court sprung floor, including the stabilisation of all internal piers using steel bracing. By completion, over 11 kilometres of hardwood timber will have been installed throughout the building.

A complex project delivered with a strong focus on craftsmanship, safety, and precision — and an outcome that will serve the school community for years to come!

A significant milestone has been achieved on Kingston’s new 10-unit multi-storey Residential Specialised Housing project for Common Equity NSW, with the successful completion of the pouring of the carpark ground slab!

Thanks to the dedication and teamwork of our crew on site for creating the base for the new suspended structure that will commence being installed next week.

It’s great to be partnering with CENSW and providing much needed affordable Co-operative Housing for the Forster Area!

Making a strong start to 2026, Kingston Building has been awarded the contract at Newcastle’s Civic Theatre to remove and replace the roof and refurbish water-damaged areas within the Playhouse on the upper levels of the building.

Awarded late last week, our team wasted no time, with scaffolding installation commencing on site this week. With a tight program and works carefully coordinated around theatre rehearsals, we’re looking forward to delivering an important refresh for this beautiful venue.

The Civic Theatre is one of Newcastle’s most iconic and historic buildings, and we’re proud to be playing a part in its ongoing care.

A significant milestone for our team and a great way to welcome everyone back for 2026. Here’s to another year of teamwork, safety, and building better outcomes together!
