In September 2014, VicTrack appointed design and socially focused property group Neometro as its development partner for the revitalisation of the Jewell Station Precinct. The project is part of the Victorian Government’s Station Precinct Enhancement Program, being delivered by VicTrack. Founded in 1985, Neometro has a strong heritage delivering projects that provide positive social, community, environmental and commercial outcomes. Neometro will develop under-utilised VicTrack-owned land around Jewell Station to bring new energy to the precinct with a number of socially-led and commercial initiatives as well as residential housing. Part of VicTrack’s proceeds from the development will be reinvested to revitalise the station forecourt, making it safer and more accessible to commuters and the community
