PROJECT UPDATE - Sandringham

All homes tell a story! This home was built in the 1950’s and I’m sure it has many stories to tell over the last 75 years! However moving forward the owners have opted not to knock down rebuild but to renovate and extend into a the Passivehaus EnerPHit home! So the stories of this house will keep going.
This project is well underway and we will have plenty of stories of how we are making this old leaky mouldy home into one of the most energy efficient and healthy homes in Melbourne.

So after years being in the building industry and wondering why ain’t we building our homes to a better standard that we all can live in our homes not only for energy efficiency but for our all wellbeing. Couple of years ago I started to do some research about what is out there and found this changed my mind to how we should build our homes or retrofit our homes when doing extensions etc.This started 30 years ago in Germany and now has gone world wide with their standard of a more energy efficient home and better comfort for us too live in. This year I decided to embark to this movement and do the course it was a lot of work to do as I run a small business and a family!! And the exam went for 3 hours! But i am super proud too announce that i passed and can’t wait too start my project next year!! And I also can’t wait too show people how we should be living!
