It’s amazing how many builders I see who either don’t know how to flash doors and windows or just don’t care. Unfortunately the builder decided not to install a lintel and continue the brickwork over the sliding door and instead slapped a sheet of blueboard over the opening and render over with no head flashing what so ever. Not only did this job look hideous it caused major leaking on the inside. Here we have removed the blueboard, installed a proper lintel, correctly flashed above the window to standard and bricked in the space for a much nicer finish as client expected. Leak resolved.
