Week two on the Paaratte and the pace hasn't dropped. Sparkies have their rough-in well under way, the plumbers have their roof specs sorted, and the windows are in. Cladding is up next.

This is the difference a factory build makes. No rain days, no rescheduling trades, no sitting idle. Just steady progress under one roof.

Introducing the Paaratte, the newest home in the Echidna Built factory.

Right now it's a frame but over the coming weeks we'll show you every stage as it becomes a finished home, starting with this walk around and through the early build.

Update number 6! Winchelsea, here they come.

Modules 1 and 2 left the factory this morning, Alistair and Andy seeing them off the floor and onto the truck.
Nunn Bros Haulage doing the heavy lifting again. They've carried plenty of Echidna Built homes and we wouldn't trust anyone else with it.
Next stop, site.

Update number 5, and it's a big one!

The home has been split back into its modules, each one wrapped, braced and ready for the road. Everything done in the factory travels with it: plaster, windows, bathrooms, the lot.

That's the beauty of building this way. Nothing gets pulled apart and redone on site. The modules arrive, come together in a matter of days, and the home picks up right where the factory left off.

Next stop: the block. Moving day is nearly here, and we'll be bringing you along for it.

The Winchelsea Build: Part Four

The outside is done. Roof on, windows fitted throughout, and the building wrap fully installed.

Inside, the plaster is up and the bathrooms are starting to take shape. It's starting to feel like a real home rather than a work site.

Keep your eyes peeled. The big move is happening soon.

Spot the first hint of finished cladding? That's Spotted Gum, and it's our first proper look at the character this home will have when it's complete.
The roof is on and most of the insulation is now in. It's the work you'll never see once the walls close up, but it's what makes a home comfortable to live in for decades.
The Winchelsea Build is well on its way. Plenty more to share as the inside starts taking shape.

It's been another productive week on site, with the exterior really starting to take shape.
The roof has now been installed, the windows are in place, and the entire home has been wrapped, giving us a great glimpse of the home's final form. It's always exciting to reach this stage of the build, where the vision starts becoming reality.
We're looking forward to sharing more progress as the Winchelsea Build continues to come together.
