We finished this project 6 months ago and I have really contemplated posting this, because we do a lot of supporting work behind closed doors, not for the likes and attention but I want to get the message out like Connor did and that’s to reach out and hopefully inspire more people to take a leaf out of his book. At only 16 being dealt a bad hand, Connor didn’t back down, he didn’t wait around or make excuses. He took initiative he reached out to communities and people for support and advice which is so Nobel. He had a goal and knew he didn’t have the experience or knowledge to achieve it alone. Knocked back time after time he didn’t give up and now he has a safe space to call home. We all face our own challenges in life and it can be isolating and dark, speaking out doesn’t make you weak, every loss or set back is one step closer to goal. Even in my position now, I question myself daily, all the stress, sleepless nights and pain I go through running a business, wanting to throw in the towel on a daily basis is tough, but it’s moments like that make the blood, sweat and tears all worth it. None of this would be possible without the amazing support behind us, all the supporters online, trades / in house team, suppliers, clients and family involved are what makes this possible and I am forever greatful and am excited for more opportunities like this in the future
