Here’s what actually happens when I clean a solar panel with a water-fed pole. ☀️💦

This reel is a little different, I’ve talked through the entire process from start to finish so you can actually see what’s happening.

I use DI (de-ionised) water, which has had the minerals removed. This allows me to rinse the panels without leaving mineral spots or residue behind.

I start with a first pass to break up and remove the top layer of dirt and grime. Then I work backwards and forwards over the panel multiple times, flushing away the remaining dirt each time.

And the best part is watching the water change from filthy to completely clear. 👌

I keep going until there’s no more grime coming off and the rinse water is clear.

It’s a very visual process, and sometimes seeing it happen is better than simply explaining it!

One conversation changed the direction of Emerald Property Wash.

Becoming a registered NDIS provider took months of work, with policies, systems, independent audits, and a lot happening behind the scenes.

I chose to do it because I wanted to make our services accessible to more people in our community. People living with disability are among the most vulnerable members of our community, and if I can play a small part in helping keep their homes safe, clean, and accessible, then every hour spent becoming registered has been worth it.

I’m incredibly proud of this milestone, and I hope this is just the beginning.

Lichen is more than just an eyesore, it can slowly damage your roof if left untreated.

This roof had significant lichen growth, and while the clean removed the organic growth, it’s important to note that existing oxidisation on an older roof can’t be reversed.
Cleaning restores the roof by removing the contamination, but it can’t repair previous weathering.

The difference is still incredible, and more importantly, the roof is now free from the lichen causing ongoing damage.
