Meet the man behind SEC, Gavin “Gavo” Stephenson 👷‍♂️

Our founder, Gavin started SEC Electrical & Construction as a sole trader right here in Forbes and has built it into what it is today.

With 20+ years in the trade across mining, industrial and renewable energy work, Gavo’s still just as hands on now as he was on day one. Quoting jobs, running projects, and jumping on the tools himself whenever the crew needs him.

From a one-man show to a full team of sparkies, SEC wouldn’t exist without him. Thanks for showing up with the positive vibes every day & building something real, Gavo 🙌

Sheads was one of our very first electricians, he is as loyal as they come. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our team, having worked extensively across mining and construction. Having someone like Sheads on the job means we can take on any project with confidence, knowing there’s decades of hands on experience backing it up.

Meet Paul “Kicker” Keogh 🥸

With a staggering 45 years of experience, his wealth of knowledge is unmatched.

You’ll find him most days in our workshop repairing pumps. He is the pump guru and the workshop simply wouldn’t run without him.

But it’s not just the know-how that makes Paul special, there’s nothing quite like a morning coffee and a yarn with him.

Happy 2 years with SEC, Matt Hearn⚡️

What started as a “hey mate, can you help me out for 3 months on a project” has turned into 2 years & Hearny becomming a lead electrician across multiple sites.

Hearny treats the business like his own, full of ideas, and always ready to step up wherever he’s needed.
