Moth- found while walking on The Xi’an City Wall which was built in the 14th century and is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China.
Upon further investigation not a pest because in Chinese folklore, moths carry significant symbolic weight. Because they are drawn to light, they are historically viewed as messengers from the spirit world. Their appearance around the home is sometimes interpreted as a visit from an ancestor or a symbol of incoming good fortune, luck, and prosperity. The search continues …..
