🤝🌱 New partnership announcement 🌱🤝

A new trans-Tasman partnership delivering natural, sustainable geotextile innovation to the Australian market

Vital Chemical has announced a new partnership with New Zealand natural materials innovator Rubisco, introducing an advanced natural fibre geotextile system to the Australian market for the first time.

As Vital's Chemical Director Paul McMullen explains:
“Our focus has always been on identifying proven technologies globally and making them accessible to the Australian market. VE Geo-Loc Made by Rubisco provides a compelling natural alternative to traditional synthetic geotextiles, and through Vital’s distribution network we are well positioned to support adoption across construction, landscaping and environmental restoration projects nationwide.”

Rubisco brings more than 50 years of experience in wool fibre processing and manufacturing and has more recently expanded into industrial h**p fibre systems.

National Volunteer Week 2026: Vital Chemical Partners with Salvos Stores to Support Textile Recovery ♻️

National Volunteer Week is a time to recognise the impact of volunteering and the role it plays in creating meaningful environmental and social change.

This past year, Vital Chemical brought this commitment to life by becoming the first
corporate volunteer group to support the Salvos Stores Textile Recovery Facility.

Learnings from our volunteering mission were then applied during the textile sorting phase of Project ReCarbon, a Seamless, Australia's clothing stewardship scheme Circular Clothing Textiles Fund supported project with a focus on redirecting Hi-Vis workwear, and other unwearable clothing, from landfill and transforming it into a carbon-rich environmental application.

Last month we enjoyed a great morning as some of the Vital Chemical team participated in the fifth annual Dash for Crash charity run.

We’re proud to share that the event raised over $12,500, which will help families cover educational costs at Ambrose Treacy College during times of crisis.

At Vital Chemical, we are committed to actively contributing and connecting with our local community by supporting impactful events like Dash for Crash.

Vital Chemical awarded for innovation and driving sustainable outcomes 🏆

We’re proud to share that Vital Chemical has been recognised with the CPB Contractors ACCIONA Joint Venture Sustainable Subcontractor Award for our contribution to the Western Sydney International Airport Airside Civil and Pavements Project, and Stage 1 Cargo Works Project, delivered in collaboration with CPB Contractors ACCIONA Joint Venture.

This award acknowledges the successful delivery of Vital Super Clear Extra, a rapid acting blend of water-soluble biopolymer flocculant and coagulant, scientifically formulated to improve water clarity and operational efficiency across large-scale infrastructure projects.

Verified by the Infrastructure Sustainability Council as an Australian First Innovation, Vital Super Clear Extra played a key role in supporting the project’s Infrastructure Sustainability Council rating outcome.

Thank you to CPB Contractors ACCIONA and Western Sydney International Airport for recognising and celebrating the contribution of science-based solutions in the delivery and sustainable legacy of industry leading infrastructure projects.
