So to say the last 3 days have been EPIC!!! Would be an understatement. Corey and I had to travel to Yeppoon for a very important appointment that Corey had to attend. 6hrs up (with 2x30min breaks) and 6hrs home we didn't hold out much hope for too much down time. Well that changed very quickly, we, by mere chance stumbled across the fact Yeppoon has 4wd beach access 😳😎 Corey got through his 2.5hr appointment like a champion so it was time to hit the beach. We were blown away, perfect weather and one of the best beaches I've ever driven. After that adventure we were heading back and found a sign for Bifield National Park. I had heard of this NP and was quite excited. Corey checked the logistic and schedule and we worked out if we were to tackle Byfield NP we wouldn't be back to our rooms until 6.30pm. I said to Corey- It's your choice, it will be a big day. Corey smiled and said - Let's do it!!!. The next 3hrs were ones we won't ever forget in a hurry. Scenery galore and some insane 4wding challenges that only the most experienced drivers should tackle. What a way to round out a day we thought may be a little mundane. We ave some video in the comments as Facebook doesn't allow videos to be posted with photos these days, it would seem.

Noah and I spent the afternoon exploring Hervey Bays new Rail Trail. If you haven't explored it yet it's highly recommended. This trail goes from Pigford lane all the way to the outskirts of Maryborough. Completely through the bush. It's for electric scooters, ebikes and push bikes. Take plenty of water and a snack. We even found a jump and some rocks 😳 What an awesome day. 👌

We got the new slack line all set up. A nice addition the the 100m flying fox 😉. Everyone has loved the growing list of adventure activities on the farm 😁 Have a look at our the Kicking Goals Together page to check out our Farm fun and other supports we offer, including STA stays and respite. While we're not wheelchair friendly yet, we'll have that covered hopefully early next year!!!

I'm supporting Kohen at his 3rd inter-school chess tournament. It's a privilege to watch this kid go from strength to strength, not only with his chess but overcoming his social barriers. I get so nervous for him before each game, he on the other hand isn't fazed and continues to handle business. Let's go K-man 😎 Oh and in the breaks from winning chess, this is the Uno hand he beats me with....🤦‍♂️ There's actually 4 change cards in his hand 😆

I reckon Sam has taught me more than I'll ever teach him. The best thing about this gig is meeting so many hugely diverse and unique individuals. Sam is an absolute inspiration, he is one of the most thoughtful and insightful people I have had the opportunity to meet. Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone Sam, champion!!!

I have the best job in the world. I have had the pleasure of working with this legend for a while now. 😁 It's been a blast, we've done sequencing, gardening, fishing, numbers and words, tons of totem tennis...may need to get that fixed 😆 And the list goes on.

Kohen is the perfect example of when an individual doesn't fit into a rigid, structured mainstream schooling system they can easily be pigeon holed or overlooked. The fact is, this kid is waaaaaaay to smart, sometimes for his own good lol. He blows me away with where he is at academically, certainly keeps me on my toes.

I'm up for an early start to pack the fishing rods to go chase the tide with Kohen this morning, to go catch that fish i promised...stay tuned.
