After 20 years in building design, I wasn’t looking to start another business. Honestly, I’d rather be playing music and sharing coffee with friends. But something deeper stirred—a desire to build more than just houses.

I wanted to create a workplace where people could discover who they’re meant to be. A place that supports their own callings, not just the weekly grind. And I wanted to design homes that help people offer sanctuary to loved ones in need.

HOVAN is about practical love. It’s about building something good, sustainable, and meaningful. As the Bible puts it: “Pure and genuine religion… means caring for orphans and widows in their distress.”

To all the quiet business owners out there doing good without fuss—you inspire me.
