Renters! Plug-in Solar Batteries are coming to Australia. Soak up power from solar panels from balconies, back yards etc into a portable battery, then use that power at night time.

Better still, if you move then take the entire system with you to your next home!

Won't be for a while whilst appropriate regulations are formulated, but follow our page so you can find out about future updates.

Don’t miss the 2026 Cheaper Home Batteries rebate!!

The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebate is stepping down on 1 January.
Installations completed (with the electrical compliance certificate issued) before that date keep the current higher STC factor. From 1 January the factor drops, which means a lower rebate on the same battery.
We currently have only about 28 spots left statewide that we can realistically get fully installed in time.

Why do you need to move now?
A battery job isn’t instant. It involves:
Securing the right stock
Regulatory applications and paperwork
Scheduling the works

Completing the installation so the compliance certificate is issued before the cut-off
HEUF (Household Energy Upgrades Fund) discounted finance is also available for batteries, but that application process takes time as well. Leaving it until the last moment risks missing both the higher rebate and available finance options.
