Safe to say being scared of heights is not an option in this job 👀

The team was up in this massive tree recently, bringing it down piece by piece. This is definitely one of the tallest trees we've climbed in a while.

Something worth knowing if you're planning to plant trees near a retaining wall or boundary structure ... Even smaller trees can cause significant damage over time if they're planted in the wrong spot.

Root systems are stronger than most people realise, and given enough time, they will find their way into walls, foundations and structures and start pushing things out of place.

It's something we've seen a fair bit of lately. Jobs that started as a tree removal and turned into something a lot bigger once the damage to the retaining wall was factored in.

The team completed some dead tree removal on the Port Fairy to Warrnambool Rail Trail in Koroit recently.

The Rail Trail is maintained by a group of volunteers who do a fantastic job keeping it in great shape for everyone who uses it. We were happy to come in and take care of some of the bigger jobs for them, getting a few dead trees out before they had a chance to become a problem.

With so many families, walkers and cyclists using the trail regularly, keeping it safe is what matters most.

A big thanks to the volunteers who look after the trail, it's a great community asset!
