Bambra // Fix out stage progress on our personal project out the back of the coast. Resting on the border of the Otways. Again wanting to build a home that blends in to the surrounding bush and farmlands. Our love for timber being showcased perfectly from the outside in.

Bambra House I Designed by Josh Crosbie

Raked ceiling coming together — battened lining following the roofline, timber flooring staged and ready to go down. Slow build, right materials, no shortcuts.

Timber lining from Nationwide Timber.

Feature concrete hearth from the craftsman at Bespoke Concrete Products.

Warm timbers, soft light, and considered details—designed for rest, presence, and simplicity.

Honoured to have this space featured in

A quiet retreat framed in warm timber, natural stone and soft bushland light—designed to blur the boundary between architecture and landscape.

Every proportion, material and connection was considered with care. Grateful to see this vision recognised. 🤍🌿

This little retreat has been a labour of love — a space shaped by natural materials, soft light, and a connection to the landscape.

Thank you to the team at for the beautiful write-up and for capturing the calm and simplicity we dreamed of creating here.
