Last month our team sat down with Leesa from I Got You ( ) — a conversation none of us will forget.

Leesa lost her son, an apprentice, to su***de. Instead of letting that grief stay silent, she built I Got You to help normalise conversations about su***de and give people real tools to check in on each other — friends, family, colleagues, anyone doing it tough.
We walked away more connected as a team, and grateful Leesa was willing to share something so personal to help others.
If you or someone you know is struggling, I Got You's work is worth knowing about. Give them a follow, and take a look at what they do: https://igotyou.org.au/

Watching this one come together!

A feature timber ceiling, piece by piece. One of those details that completely changes the feel of a space.

We recently had the chance to revisit one of our completed homes, and it's always a special experience seeing a space that's truly been lived in.

The architecture is the same, but now it's filled with the people, memories, and everyday moments that make a house feel like home.

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is staying connected with our clients long after handover. Being welcomed back into a home and seeing how it's become part of someone's life is a privilege we never take for granted.

A fireplace might be the centrepiece, but the real warmth of a home starts long before the first flame is lit.

In a climate like Canberra’s, thoughtful design makes all the difference. With frosty mornings, cold nights, and big shifts in temperature, every decision, from orientation and glazing to insulation and airtightness, plays a part in how a home performs.

When a home is designed to work with its environment, comfort becomes something you experience every day. A place that protects you from the elements, uses energy efficiently, and feels good through every season.

The best homes don’t fight the climate. They’re designed around it.

No desk? No worries.
When you’re on site, you make do with what you’ve got. 😂
Our weekly team meetings keep everyone connected, from the office to the build site, making sure ideas, updates and decisions keep moving (even if the meeting room is a bin and some spare timber).

An Ode to Light.

Long before furniture, finishes or styling, there's light.

It's one of the first things we consider when designing a home. Where it enters, how it travels through a space, and what it feels like at different times of day all shape the experience of living there.

Because good design isn't just about how a home looks. It's about how it feels.

Canberra has officially hit that time of year where stepping out of bed feels like a personal attack. ❄️

So... how's your house coping?

If you've got icy floors, freezing bedrooms or the heater's been working overtime, there's a good chance your home is leaking heat.

The best homes don't just survive winter, they're designed for it. Quality insulation, airtight construction and passive solar design can make a huge difference to comfort (and your energy bills).

Because if you're wearing three jumpers indoors... maybe it's not you.

How's your place holding up this winter?

Tom was featured in this week's Canberra Times, sharing his perspective on the challenges currently facing Canberra's building industry.

While the demand for new homes continues to grow, the construction industry is facing increasing pressure. Rising labour and material costs, more complex building requirements and lengthy approval processes are making it harder to deliver homes at the scale Canberra needs.

As Tom explains in the article, streamlining approval processes without compromising standards is one of the most direct ways to help get more quality homes built.
