We're on the verge of adding something new to the fleet!, far more than just another piece of equipment. It's another step towards the future we're building at Ember Safe Earthmoving.

We're keeping this one slightly under wraps for now 👀 while everything is finalised, but if it all comes together, it's going to open the door to a whole new range of opportunities for our clients.

A soft spot for old trucks...

There's just something about an old Mack. No touch screens, no fancy electronics just an honest 430hp horsepower, 18-speed Roadranger, twin stacks, and the unmistakable sound of a truck built to work.

This old girl has plenty of life left in her yet, after a bit of love it will be joining the Ember Safe Earthmoving fleet.

From moving gravel to hauling machinery and keeping projects moving across the South West, she'll be another reliable piece of the puzzle as we continue to grow.

Sometimes the old gear still has what it takes to outwork the new!.

Another collaboration & Another quality result.

Working alongside the team at EMVEE, we've just completed another driveway and access road remediation project in the South West.
This project focused on restoring the existing surface, improving drainage, reshaping the road profile, and delivering a smooth, durable finish built to handle everyday traffic and the conditions our region throws at it.

Another rewarding day on site, working alongside the team at EMVEE on a shed pad requiring over 2 metres of fill.

Projects like this take careful planning, precision, and attention to detail to ensure the finished product stands the test of time.

There's always value in working together. Combining experienced operators, quality equipment, and different skill sets means the job gets done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

When building a pad with significant fill, the material isn't simply dumped in place. It's placed in controlled layers and compacted thoroughly before the next layer is added. This process is critical because it:

A fresh start this morning alongside the team at EMVEE, making the most of the conditions before the rain sets in tomorrow.

We're currently building a new access road while filling in an existing dam as part of the site's earthworks. There's plenty happening, with a focus on getting the formation, drainage and final levels right before moving on to the next stage.

It's been great working alongside the EMVEE crew on this project, and we're looking forward to seeing the finished result!.

Another project completed in Collie 🚧🏡

Every site has its challenges, and this one certainly kept us on our toes. With shallow bedrock across much of the block, our team removed over 80+ tonnes of rock before building up the site as best as possible with the available material, leaving it ready for the next stage of construction.

Our scope included:
✔️ Removing over 80 tonnes of rock.
✔️ Preparing the site for future house pads.
✔️ Constructing a loop access road, allowing delivery and concrete trucks to drive through safely without reversing.
✔️ Clearing and burning vegetation where required while preserving the mature trees that provide a home to a flock of redtailed black cockatoos that visit every afternoon.

A big thank you to our client for trusting us with the project. With this one complete, the machines are now on the move to our next job in Pemberton.

Over the past few weeks we've completely rebuilt 2.1 kilometres of farm road, transforming it from a worn-out access track into a road built for the long haul.

To make it happen, we reopened an existing gravel pit and excavated more than 3,500 tonnes of gravel. Every load was carefully placed, rolled and trimmed to produce a durable wearing surface with the correct crown and drainage.
It wasn't all smooth sailing.

The ground was incredibly soft in sections, and the constant winter moisture made conditions challenging. We bogged the grader three times, adjusted our approach daily, and worked around the weather to keep the project moving without compromising the quality of the finished product.

Projects like this are a great reminder that good roads aren't built by chance. They take planning, patience and attention to detail from sourcing quality material to ensuring every section sheds water correctly.

Standing back and seeing the finished result makes every challenge worthwhile. That's what we take pride in building roads that not only look the part, but are designed to perform for seasons to come.

Trim work in a grader can be frustrating sometimes but it needs to be done! 😅

What looks like a simple pass with the grader is actually one of the most important stages of the job. This is where the road is carefully shaped to achieve the correct crown and drainage, helping water run off the surface instead of damaging it.

Taking the time to get these details right can make a significant difference to the longevity of a road, driveway or access track especially, through a wet South West winter.
