We have been very busy lately, so we apologise for the lack of content on our page. Here’s some of what we’ve been up to.

- Install of a subway tile splash back and floor tiling in a brand new salon
- A complete replacement of shower/screen, floor and wall with new tiles due to water damage
- Removal of damaged timber laminate flooring and install of new hybrid floor
- A deck upgrade using beautiful spotted gum
- A custom alfresco deck area underneath shutter blinds

Some smaller jobs we have completed over the past few weeks.
The first, a small deck and privacy screen around exisiting spa, the second, a custom fabricated galvanised steel gate with colourbond sheeting, third is the man himself Kyle, showing off the new concrete grinder that makes it easier for us to prep floors and finally, finishing off with a kitchen splash back done with modern subway tiles.

A completely new vibe with this one!

We dug straight in and removed all the outdated tiles, finding excessive amounts of tile glue left behind which was ultimately beaten by our concrete grinder.

After bringing the floor to a smooth, even surface, we laid this beautiful hybrid laminate floating floor and retiled the bathrooms with tiles of the customers choosing.
The whole house was completely transformed bringing a much needed modern, clean and sleek feel to the property.

Before and after photos of this full house flooring job we did, using a hybrid Coastal Blackbutt floating floor.
Completed in 4 days, we removed all carpet and completely rejuvenated the 200sqm of floor, finishing it off with a perfectly colour matched scotia.

Here are some photos of a complete deck rebuild we did in Mt Evelyn due to the existing deck rotting out. Complete with new pergola and guttering, the clients are now able to enjoy their beautiful mountain views safely.

This one was a fun project! We excavated around the existing pool to remove all the volcanic rock and bluestone, finding some hidden tree stumps that needed grinding out. We then customised the whole deck around the pool, adding a large custom built in bench seat as a way to utilise the whole area. This is no ordinary deck as it features a fully functional trapdoor to hide the pool cover, giving the space a true luxurious feel.
We used a charcoal stack stone for the retaining wall and fitted a 1200mm water chute as a stunning water feature into the pool.
Finishing off with some sunset mulch, this area is now a statement feature of the yard. The clients were over the moon with this one as we are!

A job we completed this week.
We gave this front yard a bit of a face lift.
We excavated out all the volcanic rock and plants, and installed a new retaining wall, which makes this yard feel so much more inviting and open.

Hello everyone! After nearly a year, we finally have a business page up and running and we’re excited to be able to share our passion with you all.

Raw Renovating is a small, local renovation business servicing all areas of the Yarra Valley and South East suburbs. Kyle has been working in the construction industry for over 5 years after quitting work as a fully qualified diesel mechanic to pursuit his dreams. He decided to go out on his own in 2020, and after a few hiccups due to the pandemic, Raw Renovating was born.

With a keen eye for detail, and never leaving anything less than perfect, Kyle prides himself on his workmanship and is always working hard to perfect his craft. Specialising in timber flooring, floor and wall tiling, decking and pergolas and all aspects of home renovations, Raw Renovating is the one stop shop for all your home improvement needs.
