🔨 Kensington | 42 × 42 mm Abodo Vulcan Rainscreen Cladding system
A detailed facade package completed for Evve Group, combining James Hardie Fine Texture cladding with Abodo Vulcan timber screening.
This one took plenty of planning before the sheets even went up.
Every joint and gap had to be carefully set out so the lines stayed consistent across the entire facade, lining up around both sides of the windows, continuing underneath the windows and working through every opening and junction.
That meant working the set-out backwards, checking dimensions and adjusting the packing behind the system to make sure everything landed exactly where it needed to.
We also used premium Wurth stainless steel fasteners throughout the timber screening. It’s a small detail once everything is finished, but an important one quality stainless fixings give the timber the best chance of performing long-term without compromising the finished look.
With rainscreen cladding, there’s a lot going on behind what looks like a simple, clean finish. The cavity, membrane, packing, fixings and ventilation all need to work together, while the face of the building still needs to look spot-on.
Plenty of technical planning, plenty of checking, and no room for error
The end result clean lines, even gaps and a facade that works as well as it looks.
Another quality project delivered alongside Evve Group in Kensington.
