Thinking about this 2019 installation for Melbourne Zoo. As visitors removed frogs, more light was revealed from within. Over time the wall slowly transformed. A wonderful collaboration with artist Lara Tumak.

I designed and built a fully reusable, recyclable modular backdrop for the ecologiQ Greener Infrastructure Conference, hosted by Jamie Durie.

Installed on stage in under an hour, the parts reconfigured like a transformer toy for transport, then reassembled for the show (all handled solo by yours truly, with a hand from Emma Peterson, my lovely RX Australia client, helping me carry some of the pieces).

Now in storage, ready for reuse. And because it’s modular, the next time it pops up it will be a different configuration!

A refreshed stand for Acumen at this year’s Australian International Education Conference in Canberra. Designed and built quickly, but still with the same warm, welcoming feel.

We re-used the loose furniture and pared back the colour, which actually made the stand stand out even more. Among all the glossy booths, the warmth of kraft paper drew people in.

As always, no adhesives and 100% recyclable.

Oh wow. I really did have a fun day (!) designing for a sugar-free lolly company. I approve of their ethos and love their packaging: joyful colours. Thanks ! This month-long activation inside Woolworths Chadstone brought summer vibes, with Fold Theory commissioned to produce two freestanding shelving units masquerading as Brighton-style bathing boxes. Embracing my first foray into the cardboard point-of-sale (POS) world, I decided to make my mark with some razor thin-edged cantilevered cardboard shelves, engineered to take 1.2kg per shelf, unlike the typical cardboard displays that have the more sensible front guard piece to stop product falling off. For this cardboard architect, aesthetics and structural elegance won out over extra safety margins for a bespoke and temporary installation. Another string to the Fold Theory bow, and looking forward to more cantilevered shelving in future!
