This homeowner had been battling a stubborn leak for over a year, engaging multiple trades with no success. The ongoing leak caused extensive water damage to the ceiling and floor joists below the balcony. In an attempt to fix the issue, the balcony tiles were removed, the deck was re-waterproofed, and new floor and skirting tiles were installed — yet the leak continued.

That’s when H2O Leak Detection was finally called in.

Using the latest thermal imaging and advanced testing techniques, we identified the real culprit: a hairline crack in the wall. Water was entering through this tiny crack, tracking behind the rendered wall and leaking into the ceiling cavity below, causing all the damage.

It’s incredible how something so small can create such a big issue.

This is the perfect example of why you should call H2O Leak Detection first — before engaging multiple trades — to accurately locate the source of your mystery leak and avoid unnecessary repairs.
