We love showcasing and presenting culture to wider audiences. As a collective we appreciate all things creative, deadly and group inspired! Bunyarra is a traditional word that translate to "More than good" from the Bundjalung langua

ge. We pay our respect to the Bundjalung nation and its elders as we are based on Bundjalung country in the Byron Shire, Northern Rivers, New South Wales. Bunyarra is a collective that promotes leadership and confidence amongst our Aboriginal youth and aboriginal community. Immerse yourself in the world of creative talents living on Bundjalung Lands. This group exhibition is showcasing the perspective of first nations people and their practice’s on country. It shares and tells the stories our old people have lit inside us, connecting us to country, our culture.

Opening 6pm July 6th 2024 at 112 Dalley Street Mullumbimby!!!

Bunyarra Culture Collective is happy to announce we are back on alongside the wonderful Áine Tyrrell for a night of music magic at the Byron Theatre for our last performance of 2021!

We are excited to have her back in Oz and giving her beautiful sound to our ears one more time.

'OUR WAY' NAIDOC Musical Performance Night 2021

Bunyarra Culture Collective is presenting ‘Our Way’ an immersive musical performance night starring Emily Wurramara and
Aine Tyrrell alongside special guest The boy of many colours at the Byron Community Centre theatre.
This year Bunyarra is celebrating NAIDOC through a night of music and culture with our wider community and mob.
Music has played a huge role in learning language, song, dance and raising cultural voices and views.
This years theme is Heal Country and what is a better way then to highlight some of the amazing indigenous talent alongside our strongest allies.
Healing country relies on working together, and this performance is a perfect and beautiful way to express that.

This year Bunyarra Culture Collective is hosting a short weekend NAIDOC Exhibit.
‘Heal Country’
This exhibit embodies a range of artists and works to reflect, respect and represent our culture and everything it has to offer.
Healing country is about protecting, preserving and acknowledging our existence, our connection, our traditional and contemporary cultural practices all the way through to the physical health of our waterways, our sacred sites and country.
Join us at Newrybar Community Hall in July for an amazing short exhibit highlighting our collective members talent through art.
