Day spent on the mobile sawmill.
Customer has some very good spotted gum trees that were felled a couple of years ago and were going to waste.
Now turned into $3000 worth of flooring boards

Working on a local boat.
40 foot centre console with 1800hp on the back.
Sump pump not working.
Bit of a tight squeeze as it's buried under a sink and floor.
Discovered a faulty plug.
Supposed to be waterproof, salt water makes very quick work of bare conductors

Universal motor that I made as an apprentice many many years ago.
Was gathering dust in the shed.
Hooked it up to a train set power supply and away it went.
Needs a bigger power supply.
This thing really gets going.

This customer had bare incoming mains.

Repaired a phase sequencing relay and contactors on a fishing trawler at Bermagui the other day.
This allows the boat to dock anywhere in Australia and not have to worry about shore power 3 phase rotation direction.
Not only was it terribly corroded and not switching but it had been incorrectly wired from the get go.
