This week at Zammit Constructions, we’re tackling a reroof, stripping back the existing concrete tiles and upgrading the insulation beneath.
With a cathedral ceiling, the challenge is improving thermal performance while ensuring the roof can manage moisture effectively.
We’ve installed two layers of 75mm insulation between the 150mm rafters, followed by 60mm STEICO wood-fibre insulation board to help achieve our R5 target.
A ventilated space above the insulation allows airflow from the eaves to the ridge, helping manage moisture within the roof system.
There’s plenty happening beneath the surface to make this home more comfortable throughout the seasons.
Next week, we’ll install the custom Blue Gum Colorbond roofing. Stay tuned for the finished result!
