While Romi’s waddling her way around Queenstown🤰, I’m recharging, ready for the last couple of months on the tools before Christmas.

A belated happy 60th birthday to Romi’s stepdad, Bruce. Celebrating in his and Jen’s favourite country on Earth, showing us all the cool places in the South Island. A perfect mini holiday before we see out 2026, as well as Romi and I welcoming our baby in March! 🍼

Another month, another bathroom reno!

We gave this old bathroom/laundry a much needed facelift using large format grey tiles throughout. Finished off with custom tile insert drains, which are always a nice touch… Now just waiting on the shower screen currently being made by the team at Naracoorte glass 🚿

The old stone walls required a lot of work, but was definitely all worth it now that we can see the finished result!

You might be surprised about how much a new ceiling can lift a room!

We recently replaced some water damaged ceilings in multiple rooms of this old farm house. We also installed some VJ board onto some very wavy stone walls, which was no easy task!

We love a good ceiling replacement, one of the most satisfying jobs out there!

Big news for us!

We're so excited to officially welcome Curnow Carpentry’s first apprentice! Harry has taken the leap into an adult apprenticeship, proving it's never too late to start a new career and learn a new craft. We're grateful to be a part of his journey and can't wait to see what the future holds.

We also had the pleasure of hosting Nate for work experience a couple of weeks ago. It was great to give Nate a taste of the industry, and we hope he enjoyed the experience as much as we enjoyed having him..

Messy jobs 🤝🏼 Curnow Carpentry.

Our crew removed a HUGE stone fireplace, right in the heart of a clients home. What we thought was going to be mostly limestone, turned out to be a mix of random sized paddock rock, limestone and a lot of dust in between!

After 3 big trailer loads to the dump, it was all cleaned up, with the roof, ceiling and floor all patched up ready for new flooring and a paint job 👌🏼

Another front door replacement, swapping an industrial style aluminium door for a new custom meranti door and side lite. The black Gainsborough Trilock style door handle really finishes it off!

We recently renovated this deck getting rid of the old and tired Silvertop ash boards, installing new joists, and reinstalling fresh Eva-Last composite decking boards in Swiss Oak, adding many more years of life to the area.

We have just set off to Bali on our honeymoon, so will be a bit slack on the socials for a couple of weeks.. but please don’t be afraid to get in touch through email or Facebook and we will get back to you as soon as we get back!

Last week we gave this little bay window roof a much needed freshen up, as it was leaking and was home to a hive of bees! 🐝

Replacing the timber slats with colorbond sheets and proper flashings aswell as new fascia, eaves and guttering has saved this old timber window from eventually needing replacement and also looks a lot cleaner!

Barn doors are in at the moment… another set done for a different client.

Had my “apprentice” help hang them with me on Friday, will have some photos to follow once they’ve been finished off with some staining!
