Older homes got it right 🏠

From the 40s through to the 90s, houses were built with copper tails and they didn’t have the flooding issues we see today.

When copper does leak, it’s usually the solder joints on fittings that crack with movement, not the pipe itself.

Do it properly and copper will last for decades.

💧 One burst hose, a whole home in chaos

This family in Cranbourne North woke up to every homeowner’s nightmare — a burst flexi hose in the ensuite. Overnight, it flooded the front bathrooms, bedrooms and living area.

Insurance builders had to rip up carpet, remove tiles, cut out plaster, dry the place and start the long rebuild. The family has had to move out while the work is done.

When we inspected, the burst flexi was set to be replaced — but no one had checked the others. Every hose we looked at was already in the same failing condition. If left, it’s only a matter of time before they burst too.
