NSW homeowners now have another way to make energy-efficient upgrades more affordable.

The NSW Government's Home Energy Saver program gives eligible homeowners and landlords access to interest-free loans of up to $15,000 to help fund approved energy upgrades.

Depending on your project, eligible upgrades can include:
🔋 Home batteries
☀️ Rooftop solar
🚿 Heat pump hot water systems
❄️ Reverse-cycle air conditioning
🚗 EV chargers
🏡 Insulation and more.

Swipe through to see how the program works, who's eligible and what's covered.

Most people think the size of their inverter determines how much solar they can install.

With the right hybrid inverter and compatible battery configuration, that's not always the case.

An iStore 5kW hybrid inverter can support up to 12.5kW of solar panels (250% PV oversizing), helping homeowners make better use of available roof space and generate more solar energy throughout the day.

That means more opportunity to:
☀️ Maximise your roof space
🔋 Store more excess solar in your battery
⚡ Reduce reliance on grid electricity
🏡 Get more from your solar investment

Because when you're investing in solar, every panel should have the opportunity to work harder for you.

Speak with your local iStore installer to find out whether a larger PV array could be the right fit for your home.*

*Up to 250% PV oversizing is supported on compatible iStore 5kW and 6kW hybrid inverter systems with approved battery configurations. System design must comply with CEC requirements and local network regulations.

What if your power bill shrank from day one, and the upgrade cost you nothing in interest?

That's now possible in NSW.

Generate your own power; store it for the expensive evening peak; and cut hot water running costs dramatically .

The new NSW Home Energy Saver program means eligible households (combined income up to $210,000) can borrow up to $15,000 interest-free and spread the cost over ten years. Rebates like STCs come off the price first, so the loan stretches further than you'd think.

The growth in home battery installations reflects a major shift in how Australians are thinking about energy.

It's no longer just about generating solar power; it's about storing it, using it intelligently, and building homes that are ready for the future.

A home's energy needs rarely stay the same.

Pools, electric vehicles, growing families and home electrification all change how much energy you use over time. That's why choosing a system that can grow with you matters.

Blake's experience is a great example of what scalable energy storage looks like in the real world. Rather than replacing his entire system, he expanded it to suit his lifestyle—and now enjoys the freedom to use the electricity he needs without constantly thinking about it.

Thank you, Blake, for sharing your experience and trusting iStore to power your home.

Have questions about batteries, solar or home electrification? Our team is here to help.

Winter changes the way Australian homes use electricity.

As the temperature drops, some of the biggest energy users aren't always the appliances people expect. Heating, hot water, EV charging and pool heating can all play a significant role in your household energy consumption during the cooler months.

The good news? Understanding where your energy is going is the first step towards taking control of it.

That's why more homeowners are looking at home electrification. When solar, battery storage, hot water, EV charging and other major energy systems work together, you gain more visibility, more control and greater opportunity to use energy when it makes the most sense.

Smarter energy isn't about sacrificing comfort. It's about making your home work harder for you.

Which of these do you think uses the most electricity in your home during winter?
