When a bandaid is just a bandaid 😱
After repairing this water mains in Samson, I received a call a couple of days after the repair to mention the leak was still present like what??!!
After returning and checking out what had occurred, I've found it had a little pin hole leak past the point of my repair. This is due to a very poor conditioned pipe which occurs quite frequently in the Fremantle area as the limestone in the soil will cause a corroding effect after some years. The pipe work will only continue to burst in other areas. In essence it's as strong as me or a tree-twig.
After explaining this to the client we agree'd that the best point of repair would be to divert the line... Digging up & redirecting around the garden bed through the garden & around the back lane connecting on an exiting repaired line by the hot water unit. This is now not a bandaid and a full repair keeping the client happy without worry of those massive water bills when you least expect it & she won't have to see me again which I'm sure there happy about 🤪
