A practical bathroom upgrade completed in this 1930s West Perth home, designed to improve accessibility and day-to-day comfort for an elderly family member — without the need for a full renovation.
Rather than removing all existing wall tiling, we worked within the existing space and focused on the areas that would make the biggest impact:
• Removal of the raised hob and outdated shower enclosure
• New level-access walk-in shower
• Retiling to the shower walls
• New floor tiling throughout
• 2 tile heights around the perimeter of the room to tie the new works in seamlessly
• Frameless shower glass for a more open feel
• Grab rail installation for additional support and safety
A much safer, cleaner, and more functional space while still keeping costs and unnecessary demolition down.
Same bathroom footprint — just a far more accessible and modern result.
