🌳💧 Tree roots causing havoc — problem resolved properly

We attended site after a blocked earthenware sewer line was identified, and quickly found the culprit — tree root intrusion had made its way into the pipework, restricting flow and causing ongoing issues.

Given the condition of the existing earthenware, the decision was made to replace the damaged section with new PVC pipe, providing a long-term, durable solution that resists future root ingress.

Once the pipework was tested and confirmed clear, the surface works were carefully completed by reinstating the pebblecrete concrete finish, matched as closely as possible to the existing area to maintain a clean and consistent look.

✔️ Tree roots located and removed
✔️ Damaged earthenware replaced with PVC
✔️ Sewer line tested and restored
✔️ Pebblecrete surface reinstated to match existing

A solid fix underground, with attention to detail above ground.

🌧️ Stormwater restoration works completed

The team recently attended site to address a blocked stormwater line, restoring proper flow and preventing further surface water build-up.

Once the blockage was cleared, we moved on to reconstructing the inspection opening (IO), ensuring it was structurally sound and accessible for future maintenance. The IO was then raised to the correct finished level to suit the upcoming surface works.

This adjustment allows the Playsoft installers to come in and reinstate the surface cleanly and accurately, without compromising access or drainage performance.

✔️ Stormwater blockage cleared
✔️ Inspection opening reconstructed
✔️ IO adjusted to finished surface level
✔️ Site prepared for surface reinstatement

Another example of getting the underground right first — so the surface lasts longer and performs as intended.

⚠️ Safety first while the permanent fix is on the way

We attended a site with a loose and leaking gutter that posed a real risk — both from falling sections and uncontrolled water discharge around the building.

With a replacement gutter needing to be custom-made, the priority was to make the area safe and functional in the meantime. The team carried out temporary repair works, securing the gutter, sealing active leaks, and ensuring water is directed away from walkways and structures.

✔️ Gutter stabilised and made safe
✔️ Leaks temporarily sealed
✔️ Water flow controlled to prevent hazards

It’s not the final solution — but it’s a critical step to protect people, property, and access until the new gutter is ready for installation.

If you’ve got damaged roof plumbing, acting early can prevent bigger issues down the track.

We’ve just wrapped up the installation of a First Nations bubbler set for a valued client, delivering a practical and culturally meaningful addition to the space.

This setup provides reliable access to drinking water while reflecting thoughtful design and community consideration. The team ensured everything was installed to a high standard — from secure connections and correct drainage through to testing for performance and durability.

✔️ New bubbler set installed
✔️ Plumbing connections tested and compliant
✔️ Site left clean, safe, and ready for use

Great to be part of a project that combines functionality with purpose.

🔥 Gas safety isn’t optional — it’s essential

Routine checks today focused on testing gas valves, Gas Guard systems, and isolation valves to make sure everything is operating exactly as it should.

These components are critical for controlling gas flow and providing immediate shut-off in the event of a fault. Regular testing helps identify wear, leaks, or failures before they become a serious hazard.

✔️ Gas valves tested for correct operation
✔️ Gas Guard system checked and functioning
✔️ Isolation valves confirmed accessible and operational

It’s all about ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and ready when needed — protecting both people and property.

If your gas systems haven’t been checked recently, it’s worth getting them inspected.

🚧 Managing the problem now while planning the long-term fix

We were called out to address pooling water in a carpark that was creating safety risks and access issues. While a full redesign and drainage upgrade is the right long-term solution, that takes time — so we’ve implemented a practical temporary fix to control the situation in the meantime.

The team installed measures to redirect and disperse the water, reducing buildup and improving surface drainage. This helps minimise slip hazards, protects the pavement from further damage, and keeps the area functional for daily use.

✔️ Immediate risk reduced
✔️ Water flow managed and redirected
✔️ Site remains operational

Temporary solutions aren’t the end goal — but they’re critical in keeping people safe and preventing further damage while the permanent works are planned and approved.

If you’ve got recurring water issues on your property, don’t leave them unchecked — early intervention makes a big difference.

💧 Hidden leak, big impact — problem solved.

Today the crew tracked down an inground water leak that had been quietly causing issues below the surface. These types of leaks can go unnoticed for a long time, leading to water loss, ground instability, and higher bills.

After isolating the section, we exposed the damaged pipe and carried out a precision weld repair to restore its integrity. Once tested and confirmed leak-free, the area was reinstated with concrete, leaving it safe, secure, and built to last.

✔️ Leak located and repaired
✔️ Pipe welded and pressure-tested
✔️ Site reinstated with concrete

Another job done right — protecting infrastructure and preventing further damage.

If you’ve noticed unexplained water pooling, damp ground, or a spike in usage, it might be time to get it checked.
