Starting out as a tent school in 1858 during the gold rush era, Stawell Primary School, known locally as ‘502’, has a long and rich history.
Which is why we’re looking forward to working closely and collaboratively with staff, students and the local community to develop its Master Plan.
It will provide a staged plan for the development of the school's buildings, facilities, and learning environments, ensuring that investment over the next decade and beyond is strategic and:
🧭 Supports the school's current and future needs, vision, values, culture and aspirations.
📚 Provides the flexibility and adaptability needed to keep pace with the fast-changing and ever-evolving education landscape.
💡Caters to and supports a variety of pedagogical approaches, teaching modalities and learning experiences.
🫶 Enhances student, staff and community wellbeing and connection – with self, others, community and nature.
🙌 Celebrates and preserves the school’s rich history, heritage, community and culture.
Over the coming months, we’ll be consulting with the school community and working closely and collaboratively with staff and students to understand and identify their goals, needs, aspirations, and priorities, and gather the necessary site and planning information to create the Master Plan that achieves all this and more.
