Flood and drain system used to grow chillies , seedlings , herbs and few seeds to get struck using this system

Is in the shade.
Last part of video is where indoor plants have been potted out from indoor propagation system to grow out ready for sale.
EC levels kept at 1.2
Water changes done every 2 weeks.
Once cooler weather arrives will go to 3 weeks.
Not adjusting ph.

Using kids sand shell from
Bunnings. Then just put flood and drain inlets in container. Using submerged pumps from eBay. Very simple, old nft pvc tubing stand used and 100l containers and or 60L garbage bin used for water reservoir

A hydroponic drip-to-waste system is a method of growing plants without soil, where a nutrient-rich water solution is delivered directly to the plant roots and any excess solution is not reused—it drains away (“to waste”).

🌱 How it works
• Plants are placed in containers filled with an inert growing medium (like coco coir, perlite, or rockwool).
• A pump sends nutrient solution from a reservoir through tubing to drip emitters positioned near each plant.
• The solution slowly drips onto the base of the plant, soaking the root zone.
• Any extra liquid drains out of the container and is discarded instead of being recirculated.

• Reservoir – holds water mixed with nutrients
• Pump – moves the solution through the system
• Drip lines & emitters – control flow to each plant
• Growing medium – supports roots and retains moisture
• Drainage system – removes excess solution

Monstera Deliciosa Indoor Plants all grown from cuttings in flood and drain systems.
Running EC levels are 1.2.
Not adjusting PH just changing water / nutrients water every 2 weeks.

Plants have some yellow in leaves from hot sun as they have been under hothouse plastic which is less then 30cm from the top of them.

Drip to waste system using a 20l water reservoir. Nutrients are added to water.
Let it drip into the pots via gravity. Excess water flows out of pots until ground.
Summer time requires water every second day.
CocoPeat , woodchip and perlite used for grow media.
Asian eggplant and chillies growing in this system.
