A wading area changes how the whole family uses the pool.

The stone cladding to the feature walls gives the water texture to move across rather than just fall from.

Early days on site and the vision is already taking shape. 👀

This South Turramurra pool, spa and landscape project came with a full set of constraints from day one.

A national park boundary placed the build within a flame zone.

A sewer main ran through the rear of the property.

A significant existing tree required formal arborist consultation before the pool position could even be confirmed.

Every constraint shaped the design. None of them are visible in the finished result. That is the point.

Straight decking is the default. A curved edge takes considerably more work to set out and execute cleanly, but the result justifies every bit of it.

The curve softens the transition between the pool and the platform, adds a design element that feels considered rather than constructed, and gives the space a fluidity that a straight line simply can't deliver.

It's the kind of feature that people notice without always knowing exactly why the space feels different. That's usually the sign of a detail done well.

Seaforth was a steep site with a rock shelf that wasn't going anywhere.

The pool and elevated timber deck required a supported structure engineered to carry the load across ground that gave us very little to work with in the conventional sense. Every footing, every beam, every connection point had to be resolved around what the site actually presented.

The access stairs were designed to work with the natural rock formation rather than cut through it. This is the kind of challenge that gets resolved in the design stage or it becomes a problem on site.

We resolved it early, and the build followed cleanly from there.

Shade when the sun is at its peak, a fan keeping the air moving on those heavy summer afternoons, and enough space to properly lounge rather than just perch at the edge. It turns the pool area into somewhere you stay all day rather than somewhere you visit.

The pool is the centrepiece here, but it's the way it complements the house that makes the whole space work.

Curved tiling follows the line of the pool below a grand two-storey home framed in palms, echoing the same soft curves you see in the home's balconies and archways. Structured tropical planting wraps the edges, granite paving ties the hard landscaping back to the home's own materiality, and colour-changing lighting takes the whole space somewhere else entirely after dark.

A pool designed to sit alongside the house, not just behind it. Our team handled the construction and made sure every detail of that vision was delivered on site exactly as intended.
