This Retaining wall is part of the larger project for this cafe extension.

Compared to heavy concrete panels, H4 timber sleepers are relatively lightweight, easy to cut with standard woodworking tools, and simple to slide and screw into steel post channels.

This hybrid setup is generally more affordable upfront than full masonry or concrete sleeper systems while offering a longer lifespan than standard tmber walls which often fail due to lack of Drainage and wood Rot.

• ​Restricted airflow is the number one cause of AC breakdowns. A clean filter prevents the system from overheating or freezing up.
​How often should you clean it?

Every 3 months pull the filter out, vacuum off the heavy dust, or rinse it out (if it’s a washable fabric filter) and let it dry completely before putting it back.

Every 12 months have your system professionally serviced to check the deep internal components.

The timber pictured, also known as structural H2 & LVL's, designed for carring the load of the building. It’s engineered, graded, and designed for strength and durability.

Now non structural timber is used for areas that don’t carry weight, such as trims, battens, blocking, and decorative finishes. It still plays an important role, but it’s not designed to support structural loads.

Using the correct timber ensures your extension is safe, compliant, and built to last.

• Keep a steady travel speed to avoid undercutting or voids

• Maintain the right electrode angle for cleaner, more controlled beads

• Invest in a good welding helmet, we utilise an auto detect for hands free and solid protection
